• Safura is a winner of Azerbaijani talent show “Yene Ulduz” - an analog of a worldly famous Pop Idol show
• Safura was following Eurovision since 2008 when Azerbaijan competed for the first time with Elnur&Samir duo. After last year huge success for Aysel&Arash with ‘Always’, Safura couldn’t wait any longer. The Land of Fire Azerbaijan is one of the youngest competitors at Eurovision. Its unique vibe has already brought a lot of attention to the mystery eastern land and now Safura is aiming for even more.
• Safura became a winner of national Azerbaijani final in March 2010. Professional jury chose her song ‘Drip Drop’ to represent Azerbaijan.

• Safura’s song was co-written by Anders Bagge - composer, songwriter, producer, one of the best in the world, famous for his work with Celine Dion, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez
• The producer of ‘Drip Drop’ is Niklas Flyckt - Grammy Awards winner for his work on Britney Spears’s ‘Toxic’, produced songs for hundreds of artists like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys
• Stage performance for Safura was created by JaQuel Knight - MTV Music Awards winner for Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies’, choreographer for Britney Spears tour ‘Circus’ as well as ‘American Idol’ summer tour and Beyoncé’s tour ‘I Am’.
• Music video for ‘Drip Drop’ was shot in April in Kyiv by Rupert Wainwright - celebrated director of such cult movies as ‘Stigmata’, ‘The Fog’ and the controversial and equally successful ‘History’, a film he made for Michael Jackson.
• During shooting, Safura who can’t swim very well but was brave to take a chance and to film in the pool, almost drown covered by wet silk.
• Stylist for Safura’s video was Tanya Gill - America’s Next Top Model stylist who worked with scores of celebrities, including Salma Hayek, Ashtom Kutcher, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger and others.
• Safura is a huge fan of Robert Pattinson and ‘Twilight’ saga.
